Did you know that your mini-splits have filters and they need to be cleaned regularly?
We recommend when you change your Durham home’s filters to also clean the filters in your mini-split, you may want to check it monthly to determine the amount of buildup on the filters in case it is needed more often.
To clean your filters, we suggest you turn the unit off and open the cover and carefully remove the filters. You should then hand wash or vacuum the filter to remove the debris and lint that has been collected. If you wash it, you should gently wash it with lukewarm water. Once clean let it air dry before replacing back in the unit. Once the filters are replaced you can close the cover and turn the unit back on.
Keeping the filters clean in your unit will improve indoor air quality and improve efficiency of your unit.
